Now that the festive season is here, there are lots of ways you can join us and support your local NHS this Christmas.

Whether you're able to contribute to 'The Big Give', would like to contribute to providing gifts for our patients on Christmas Day, or want to get into the festive spirit with a 'Festive Friday' dress-up day, every Christmas contribution counts!

Save the date.pngWe’re taking part in The Big Give Christmas Challenge this year, from 29 November – 6 December. Any donations made in that week will be doubled thanks to the support of our match funders, Reed Foundation, HCC Solicitors, One Love Charity Events, and J Parker's, making your money go further towards making our RAPTOR Theatre a reality.

The RAPTOR Theatre will be located in the new Greater Manchester Major Trauma Hospital, currently being built on the Salford Royal Hospital site, and will treat those with life-threatening trauma injuries by performing scans, X-rays, and surgical procedures in one place. This will save precious time and reduce risk by ensuring patients don’t need to be moved to different locations to be cared for.

Julie.jpgHelp us to provide a gift for every patient in our hospitals on Christmas Day, and those receiving treatment in the community.

Donating allows us to purchase a special gift for each patient, suitable to their age, conditions and needs, and have them wrapped and delivered in time for Christmas morning.

In 2020 we were able to provide gifts to an incredible 4,500 patients across Bury, Oldham, Salford and Rochdale, and every patient received one last year too.

CtC_festive_socks_STU_Salford_reindeer.jpgShow your support for your local NHS in December, by getting out those Christmas jumpers, holiday socks and joyful hats. Whether it’s wearing your Christmas outfit out on the town, organising a Festive Friday with your colleagues at the office or showing your support while visiting one of our Northern Care Alliance hospitals, Festive Friday is a simple way to raise money and  awareness for NorthCare Charity..

All you need to do is…

  • Decide which Friday in December is your Festive Friday (can we suggest all of them…?)
  • Let your colleagues, friends and family know
  • On the big day, wear the jolliest festive outfit you can find
  • Take pictures and tag us in them on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, we're @ncarecharity
  • Collect donations from everyone taking part and DONATE HERE

Just £1 per person who takes part would make an incredible difference to our work.

If we can help at all, please get in touch. The charity team would love to hear from you.

Go the extra mile and nominate us for the Supporters’ Choice Award and help us win £1,000 towards our campaign.

The award criteria will work just like a giveaway would. Entries are open from 12pm (midday) Friday, 2 December to 12pm (midday) Tuesday, 6 December, and the £1,000 donation will be awarded to the winning charity after the #ChristmasChallenge22 has ended.

To nominate, you’ll just need to create a social post on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram by including the following:

  • #CC22mychoice
  • Tag Big Give and NorthCare Charity
@ncarecharity on Twitter and Instagram, @NorthCareCharity on Facebook and you’ll find the Big Give’s social media accounts in their linktree
  • Explain why you’d like to nominate our charity for the Supporters’ Choice Award – simple as that.

Thank you for all your support!

Take 2 minutes to nominate our charity for the Movement for Good 12 Days of Giving. For 12 days in December, they’ll be drawing 10 charities per working day to receive £1,000.

The first draw takes place on December 1st and the last on the 16th so please nominate and spread the word for us to be in with the chance of winning a free donation.
