Volunteering is a fantastic way to support us, learn new skills and discover hidden talents, while building your confidence and meeting like-minded people.
We need reliable and enthusiastic volunteers to get involved in a wide range of exciting activites, from taking part in collections, to helping at larger events such as sporting challenges and gala dinners. We also welcome people who would like to support in the charity office so there are lots of ways to get involved.
We have a number of upcoming volunteer opportunities below. If you’d like to support, or simply register your interest in becoming a charity volunteer and receive updates on future opportunities, please fill in our quick enquiry form.
If you would like to volunteer within one of our hospitals, please visit Voluntary Services.
Wild in Art's Gratitude project, in partnership with NHS Charities Together, brings together 51 uniquely-designed human sculptures that will be on display for ten days in St Peter's Square, Manchester, from 3-12 September 2021. The spectacular outdoor public art commemorates and celebrates the stories of key workers during the Covid-19 pandemic and provides an opportunity for local NHS charities to raise money through collections.
To attend the FREE event people need to book their tickets in advance online.
Volunteering will include ticket collecting, stewarding and generally looking after the sculptures, as well as collecting funds and handing out literature and talking to visitors about our charity. All funds raised on the day will go to NorthCare Charity, with around 1,700 people expected each day.

Great Manchester Run returns to the city’s streets on Sunday 26 September 2021 – and we have a team of runners taking part to raise valuable funds for our charity. After a year like no other, thousands of runners are due to take part in either a 10k or half marathon.
For more information visit our Great Manchester Run page.
We would love an army of volunteers to join us at our cheer stations to clap, shout, whoop and generally make as much noise as possible to inspire our fantastic runners. With your help, we can create a brilliant experience to motivate our runners as they cross the finish line.
