We are delighted that our 2023 ‘Care This Christmas’ campaign was a huge success thanks to the support of our local communities and corporate partners.

Gifts for patients
Thanks to your amazing efforts, we were able to deliver over 4,000 gifts across our hospital and community services to patients receiving treatment on Christmas Day. Christmas is a time to spend with loved ones, and it can be particularly difficult for our patients receiving care in hospital who aren’t able to go home over the festive period.

Providing gifts and involving staff in the wrapping process and writing personalised gift tags, is a great way to make our patients feel a little more at home and brighten up Christmas Day. We received great feedback from both staff and patients.

A huge thank you to The Box King who provided cardboard boxes for packing, the Trust’s Estates Team for loaning our team warehouse space to organise the gifts, and the Trust’s Porters who transported and delivered them.

Thank you so much to RMS International who also provided children’s gifts, and The Village Hotel in Bury who held a collection for baby gifts.

Corporate support
Our corporate partners supported us by decorating their office Christmas trees with our gift tags featuring donation QR codes, and by sharing our campaign with their contacts.

We also received financial donations from BAM Construction, AC Ventilation, Koderly, Walker Sime, Consort Healthcare, J.Parker’s, Falcon Business Centre, Mansell Building Solutions, Chambers Business Centre, Pretty Little Thing, Willmott Dixon, HCC Solicitors, Kier Group, Creamline Dairies and Flair Rugs, totalling £6,900.

Santa Fun Run
We were delighted to see so many NorthCare t-shirts and running vests at Run Heaton Park on 10 December! Our amazing team of runners raised over £1,500, raised lots of awareness of the charity, and had a great day despite the cold!

Thank you to everyone who took part and those who sponsored their fundraising efforts.
