THANK YOU, to everyone who has donated to Care This Christmas 2021 which has allowed us to provide a gift to all patients on Christmas Day.
As we want everyone, who we will be caring for within Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust services to experience the magic of Christmas, we have been encouraging people to donate what they can through our JustGiving page or get involved in some fundraising.
The charity has been able to use the money to get every patient a special gift that is suitable to their age, conditions and needs, as we use this time of year to celebrate our diverse communities.
There have been some fabulous fundraisers during the Christmas period; bikers raising money to donate lots of toys to children services, schools making hampers, money raised to provide books to children’s wards, and we received a kind donation from Pretty Little Thing, as part of their 12 days of Christmas, just to name a few.
We would also like to say thank you to the Northern Care Alliance staff who took part in Festive Fashion, which was a day for them to wear their best festive outfits, whether this was Christmas jumpers, festive socks, tights, ties or earrings.
Speaking about Care This Christmas Rebecca Swithenbank, Fundraising Officer for NorthCare Charity, said: “We are grateful for the kind donations that we have received over the festive period that has enabled us to provide a small gift to the patients that they can open on Christmas Day.
“If you would like to donate towards Care this Christmas, it's not too late. Any money raised now will go towards care packages and patient wellbeing in the New Year. "
